True colours is about hiding our true selves in front of other people. The main goal was for people to resonate with the feelings and internal stuggles our protagonist suffers.

Concept Stage

True Colours is an animated short film I directed as part of my undergraduate degree. The idea for this film I developed in year 2 of my academic studies. Out of 80 pitches it was one of 12 film pitches selected for production. With my selected team of six, we then produced this film within the next 1.5 years.

Production

From mid 2020 True Colours was doing its festival runs and wasn’t accessible to the general public until the beginning of 2022.
