This was an amazing collaboration with the Swiss ethical fashion label Sanikai. I had the pleasure to create designs about skinship and closeness during a time when we were supposed to behave otherwise. Our goal was to create them locally with the oppurtunity to support the craftsmanship of screen printing. If you'd like to buy the mask, you can do so by going on Sanikai'swebsite at Sanikai.com. Illustrations that show the exact opposite of what we’re told to do in the case of a pandemic. Sharing closeness and embracing each other. It’s a testament to what it entails to be a human being. And we’re being told to suppress these urges.

At the core of our project lies the deep appreciation for craftsmanship and its vital role in preserving our cultural heritage. Craftsmanship is more than just a skill—it is a bridge to our past, a reflection of our identity, and a treasure that connects us to generations before us. Losing this knowledge means losing a part of ourselves, a loss that is profoundly heartbreaking.
For us, this project was a heartfelt tribute to the art of screen-printing. Every mask we create carries the imprint of dedication, tradition, and human touch. They are not just products but symbols of the care and skill poured into each step of the process. Collaborating with TDS Textildruckerei, we ensure that every mask is printed by hand, celebrating the timeless beauty and authenticity of true craftsmanship.
